Description:  Sitting in one of the Rio Grande's roundhouses, nearly new GP30 3017 gets some attention. 3017 was only six months old, having been built in February 1963 by EMD. It was sold to Progress Rail in 1996 and then to Metro East Industries that same year.

Title:  Rio Grande GP30 3026
Description:  With a crewmember giving the unit a once over, GP30 3026 waits as part of a motive power set at Denver in January 1965. 3026 was built by EMD in February 1963. It would be sold to OmniTrax in 1994 and operated on the Central Kansas Railway. It would be placed in storage in 2000. In 2005, it was sold to Western Rail and moved to Washington state. 3026 was scrapped in 2012, still in Rio Grande paint.

Title:  Rolling Through Rocky
Description:  With 38 cars in tow, GP35s 3044, 3035, 3036 and 3045 head along east toward Denver. 3044, a January 1965 EMD product, would be damaged in a wreck in 1995 and retired. It was sold to Progress Rail, repaired and sold to the Hartwell Railroad. It still operates in 2023 in full D&RGW paint.

Description:  Built in January 1965 by EMD, SW1200 135 is seen here at North Yard in Denver. 135 would be sold to OmniTrax in 1995. It would be sold to Diesel Supply Co. who would resell it to Northland Farm Co-op.
