Description:  The C&NW herald can't disguise that this is a former Mopac car, one of a large group that MP built in their Sedalia and DeSoto shops between 1948 and 1950. The riveted sides indicate that the 13317 is a DeSoto product; Sedalia cars had welded sides.

Description:  Long Island RR caboose 58 is one of six similar N-22A class cars with no cupola or bay window acquired by LIRR in 1961 from International Car. It was donated by LIRR to the Tennessee Valley RR museum in Chattanooga, then came to the Hoosier Valley RR museum as shown here. HVRM has a couple of other pieces of former LIRR equipment.

Description:  This beautifully restored Soo Line caboose was originally a Pittsburgh, Shawmut & Northern car, built in 1913 by the Russell Snow Plow Co. of Ridgway, PA. One of seven acquired second-hand by DSS&A from Hyman-Michaels Co. in 1947. DSS&A/SOO also had three other nearly identical cars that came from the DL&W.
