Scruggs Company
Title:  Scruggs Company
Description:  At the present, the Georgia DOT is widening Interstate 75 though South Georgia, including the Lenox area. The preferred base in a concrete or asphalt paved road is graded aggregate. However, Georgia has no rock quarries south of Macon, 150 miles to the north of here. Therefore, the road construction contractors have been running unit trains of crushed rock over Norfolk Southern's GS&F to sites like these, where it is stockpiled for dump trucks to take to the construction site
