Album Info:I recently found these photos taken when we visited the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad. The train ride photos were taken with one of the first digital cameras I ever owned, an Olympus camera with a built in zoom lens.

Description:  While checking out the Potomac Eagle Scenic train in Romney, WV, along comes a Long Branch Valley freight who shares the trackege with the Potomac Eagle. The line is owned and operated by the West Virginia State Rail Authority (SRA), who purchased it from the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad on October 11, 1978.

Description:  Originally built as BLE SD18 #853, it ended up as the local freight hauler on the short line on the South Branch Valley RR. Sure does have great paint on it.

SBVR GP9R #90 - South Branch Valley RR
Title:  SBVR GP9R #90 - South Branch Valley RR
Description:  Trailing behind two other SBVR locos is SBDV #90 which originally started out in life as NW GP9 #714. The Potomac Eagle Scenic F3A loco with its light on sits on the siding awaiting the passengers to load before taking off. It wasn't too long afer the freight cleared that we did depart.
