Description:  Poor quality original photo of the 1926 Baldwin built Mountain-type locomotive. Cryptic note on back presumably written by the photographer C.C. Grayson states "Frisco No 1526 (4-8-2) and train wrecked by bolt on rail." Specifics - class T-54, 69" drivers, 200 psi. The loco now resides at the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton, OK. No date or location were given for the photo so approximate ones were used.

Description:  One of the many historical jewels in the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton, OK, is this beautiful St Louis-San Francisco 4-8-2 "Mountain" type steam locomotive on display there. Built by Baldin in May of 1926 (serial #59200) it served the Frisco until retirement in 1952.

Description:  The massive main rod and 69" drivers propelled the steam locomotive down hundreds of miles of track. The loco was rebuilt sometime after 1930 with an increase in the wheel diameter to 69 1/2", boiler pressure to 210 psi and the addition of a booster. The improvements resulted in an increased tractive effort from 54,100 lb to 56,200 lb.
