Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-8-4 Class O-5 5602, date, location, and photographer unknown, print by Don Gruber, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 5602 was built by Baldwin in September 1930 (c/n 61496) and sold for scrap in June 1960. Although the date and location are unknown, my best guess would around Galesburg (the assigned division) and around 1949, based on the solid pilot wheels (it was delivered with spoked pilot wheels) and lack of Mars light, installed in the 1950's. |
