Description:
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Linden, New Jersey, during April of 1967. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9782, an AS-10AM switcher built by the American Locomotive Company as number "5640" in July of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "9940" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger.
