Nice example of a 2-6-0 Mogul locomotive built by the Grant Trunk shops in 1904 but looks like it might be sitting in the storage/scrap line now. This loco was originally GTR #1000 but renumbered in 1910 to GTR #1280 before becoming CN #816 in 1923. Specs - Serial #1460, E-7-a class, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 177,688lb, tractive effort of 27,846 lb. The loco was retired in September of 1951 and scrapped. No date, location or photogrpaher was listed for the photo. |
