Sadly, it appears that this 2-6-0 Mogul has reached the end of the line as it sits in a scrap line. Built by the Grand Trunk Shops in 1904 some 45 years before, it originally carried the number GTR #817 but renumbered in 1910 to GTR 1297 and again in 1923 to CN #833 seen here. Specs - serial #1477, E-7-a class, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 177,688lb, tractive effort of 27,846 lb. The loc was retired in September of 1951 and scrapped. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo. |
