Title:
PRR 5758-B, AP-20, 1961
Description:
Sweetland. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, in December of 1961. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5758-B, an AP-20 built by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1947, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in September of 1962 after just 15 years of revenue service. Partially visible in the left background is HOMER Tower. ("PrrFan18n")
