MVT's Baldwin
Title:  MVT's Baldwin
Description:  Mount Vernon Terminal operates a short strech of former interurban track in downtown Mt.Vernon. Their power in 1985 was an ex-Navy VO1000, which had replaced a pair of Plymouths. It was later replaced itself by an SW9 and scrapped.

MVT In Transition
Title:  MVT In Transition
Description:  The Mt Vernon Terminal RR operates a small portion of former Interurban trackage in its named town. It power for several years was a pair of four-wheeled Plymouths, which were replaced with a single former Navy Baldwin. Here the VO1000 and Plymouth ML-type no.4, both seen by the road's critter-sized enginehouse under Interstate 5.

Behold the MVT empire
Title:  Behold the MVT empire
Description:  Mt Vernon Terminal RR operates a very small section of track left from an Interurban operation that used to run north to Bellingham. This is its self-described 'roundhouse' located under Interstate 5 in its namesake town. Ex-Navy Baldwin V01000 505 was the normal power at this time and the Plymouth was a backup. The engine shed has since been replaced with another structure at the same location that holds the road's current power, an EMD SW9.

Hanging out at the roundhouse
Title:  Hanging out at the roundhouse
Description:  The Mt Vernon Terminal RR had what they called a roundhouse situated under Interstate 5 in town. The small structure was built to hold a pair of four-wheeled Plymouth-sized critters. When the road bought a former Navy Baldwin VO1000 it had to sit outside until they could build a bigger building.

New Home for the Baldwin
Title:  New Home for the Baldwin
Description:  Mount Vernon Terminal RR bought a Baldwin VO1000 from the Navy in the mid-80s to replace its tiny Plymouths. The old engine house on the left (more of a shack) wasn't big enough for the 'new power' so they built a new one next to it and under Interstate 5. This is the view about half-way though construction.
