Description:  For as long as I have been visiting Travel Town, the intent has been to rebuild this EMC-Pullman Standard gas-electric to pull a train from Travel Town to the LA Zoo. While I'm starting to think it won't ever happen, it's still a great piece of equipment.

ATSF M190
Title:  ATSF M190
Description:  CLOVIS NM early 1970s -- This undated photo is a scan of an Instamatic color negative. Im gussing it was taken in 1970. I found M190 hidden south of the roundhouse in Clovis. From here it probably went to storage in the Albuquerque roundhouse. It was then donated to the California rail museum in Sacramento. As of this writing it has been returned to New Mexico and is back in Albuquerque. As a child growing up in Portales (just south of Clovis) I remember a round trip to Clovis to celebrate a birthday. M190 or M160 were the motive power and the car was a stainles steel round end observation. NOTE -- The date included with this photo is only a gues as to month and day. Ony the year is accurate.

ATSF Motorcar M190 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Title:  ATSF Motorcar M190 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Description:  Interesting "doodlebug" with a theatrical twist in its life. Buiilt by EMC-Pullman in 1932, this diesel motorcar and attached baggage car was used extensively in New Mexico. Once retired, it was donated to the California RR Musuem awaiting endlessly for restoration. Around 2010, in comes the hero of the story - Arnold Schwarzenegger - who convinced Lionsgate Entertainment to restore the doodlebug for use in his movie "The Last Stand". Once done with it, the motorcar was then moved to Belen, NM, as a static display for a new park being built. This photo was taken by an unknown rail fan while it sat in the California RR Museum yard in Sacramento.
