Description:  CB&Q XM-2 41181, Cicero, Illinois, May 1982, photo by Chuck Zeiler. In his book, "CB&Q Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment", Mike Spoor describes this class of boxcar as follows: "Havelock (Nebraska, CB&Q shops) built 600 combination door 40'6" boxcars in 1959 which were classified XM-2's. Numbered #41000-41599, they had a 100,000 pound capacity and all were adorned with the Chinese Red paint scheme." This side shows the Everywhere West slogan below the herald, and the other side would have the Way Of The Zephyrs slogan painted below the herald. The re-weigh date is: OC. 8.79.
