New Haven PA's with Yankee Clipper
Train is westbound coming off the connector built by the Boston & Providence from its main line near Hebronville, MA to Boston Switch in Central Falls RI. The 4.4 mile line was built in order to join the Providence & Worcester (on the left) to use its route to the new Union Depot on the Providence Cove. The tower was erected in 1915 when the line through Pawtucket was rerouted and was used for only 20 years. Woodlawn tower -SS 154- was built in 1915 at the other end of the new route and assumed the duties of SS 156 when it closed in 1935. I regret that I no longer have accurate dates for the slides in this album so please disregard the dates given.
