| Missouri Pacific 1951 was photographed at Race Street Yard in New Orleans, with the Mississippi River bridge in the background. This unit was constructed in 1962 as Missouri Pacific 453, one of 100 MP low-nose GP18's built in 1962-63 using trucks and other components from traded-in Alco FA and FB units. The 1951 was retired in April 1984, during a mass retirement of MP GP18's, and sold for scrap. |
