The track just beyond it was known as the coal track....because it was where they used to have a coal tipple for steam locomotives...back in the day. CHAT (G&O GP38) sits with sister unit, CHAT 2829. Track in foreground is main track from Albany, GA originally to Lockhart, AL, then truncated to Hartford, AL. Now track ends just a few miles west of this spot at Taylor, AL
