One way was to make demonstration runs and on ways to convince potential buyers of the locomotives excellence. Just for this purpose built General Motors a locomotive in the mid -1950s, toured in several European countries, including Sweden , where SJ took such a liking to the locomotive that you purchased it in 1956 . Contamination The locomotive that received literature T42 SJ had a longer and a shorter hood and in between the cab. The cab had the same height as the hoods and the visibility was limited , much like a steam train .
