Its not as busy as in CR days and previously, but the old PRR route through Pennsylvania still holds an attraction. NS 2753 brings an eastbound double-stack train through Huntingdon, PA on an October morn, past the silent block station that once housed both a US&S Model 14 interlocking machine for the "home" plant and a US&S CTC panel for remote interlockings at Deer and Pete. Block Operators had one of the best RR jobs that ever existed. |
