CNJ RSD5 #1615 - Central RR of New Jersey  Contributor's Pick!
This 1600 hp unit was built by Alco in 1953, the only RSD5 unit ordered by CNJ. In this photo, it's wearing a later bland freight color scheme and serving as eastbound hump power. Date is approximate. Thanks to Mike Woodruff (see comment below), the location has been identified as Cranford, NJ. Thanks, Mike!

Alan Fricker General Gary, if that is a Reading caboose, and a hump yard, then I'd be willing to be to bet this photo is most likely from Allentown. 11/20/2013 9:37:51 PM
Mike Woodruff General I have a shot of CNJ 1615 taken in the SIRT interchange yard at Cranford NJ which matches this almost perfectly, even down to the branches and leaves on the tree. 8/8/2022 12:36:54 AM
