PRR 2-10-0 #4524 - Pennsylvnaia RR  Contributor's Pick!       
Here is another Baldwin Decapod built between 1922-23 that had 62" drivers, developed 250 psi boiler pressure for its 30.5"x32" cylinders. With an engine weight of 548,500 lb, it generated a massive tractive effort of 102,027 lb. In 1930, a Type E superheater w/o feed water heater was installed. No date, location or photographer were listed on the back so all are "guess-timates".

paul dooley General engine no 4524 is described in a ICC accident report near Cairnbrook, Pa 8-19-1951. I remember seeing the accident site and have recently found info on it. 12/29/2015 11:57:42 AM
