CWRC 781
When the Central Wisconsin shut down, FM 781 was still in Monroe. In June, it was donated to the City of Brodhead. In an unusual move, the WICT used the 781 to lead the train out of Monroe even though it wasnt running. At Brodhead, it was fired up for the last time and moved under its own power to the house track where it sits on display today.

Andre Wehrle General Awesome shot and history. Always enjoy seeing this engine when I visit Brodhead. Too bad it doesn't run (although it may have been moved to its resting place under its own power, I have been told certain critical components like prime mover and/or traction motors have since been removed), but 760 at IRM does! 1/23/2018 5:50:07 PM
