| CN through freight approaches the Main St. over pass as it traverses the west leg of the wye at the north end of the former SOO yard at Neenah, WI on 10 Apr. '16. The remnants of the ca. '60s SOO depot's foundation is partially visible to the left of the lead locomotive, some rail sections supported by concrete blocks rest atop the foundation. It was constructed of masonry and replaced the wooden depot that used to stand at Sherry St., about 850 feet to the southeast. The silo toward the left is Eggers Industries, 164 N. Lake St., Neenah, WI, a periodic rail customer. The industry partially visible on the right is Clearwater Paper Corp., 249 N. Lake St., Neenah, WI (physically located in Town of Menasha), a frequent rail customer. Train had three locomotives, CN 3058, CN 2807, and CN 2845. |
