125th Anniversary. Here is an original photo that I took in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 9 August 1961. The scene is the cab of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9790, an EF-15A built by GM-EMD in February of 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. Posing in the engineer's seat is Thomas H. Lantz of Duncansville, Pennsylvania. He was 14 years old at the time of Hollidaysburg's 125th Anniversary celebration. "Dinah, won't you blow your horn!" |
