| A Louisville & Nashville transfer run was crossing Florida Avenue in New Orleans, on its way from the Missouri Pacific's Race Street Yard to the L&N's Gentilly Yard. The locomotives visible here were the MP GP18 1868, L&N GP30 1035 and L&N GP38-2 4054. The image was dated October 1971, but that must be incorrect because the L&N 4054 wasn't built until January 1972. (approximate date) |
