Tom Beckett	General	Nice shot of helpers and a cabin too. Look at the PC covered hopper ahead of the buggy-bet you wish you'd gotten that, too!! The helper units changed over time. When I was there in Oct 1984 and again in Feb 1986, they were using ex EL SD 45-2's. Last time I was there, in 2003 or so, NS was using rebuild SD 40's. At one point, CR had a semi dedicated fleet of Altoona assigned SD 40-2's that worked the hill, I think in the 1990's.	10/31/2017 4:03:23 AM

Alan Page	General	Unfortunately, both my railfan buddy and I spent precious little of our expensive slide film on rolling stock in those days. When I was last at the Curve in March, 1981, track 3 was still there and CR was using SD45's, ex-EL SDP45's, older SD40's, and the newer kids in town, the reliable SD40-2's.	11/5/2017 3:55:41 PM
