PRR 3806, K-4S, c. 1950         
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Long Branch, New Jersey, c. 1950. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3806, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during 1923 and retired in October of 1956 after 33 years of faithful service. Robert Hess General The location is Long Branch, NJ on the New York & Long Branch RR. The train is headed south ('Westbound' by timetable). The freight station is to the right of the K4s. The building with the tall chimneys behind the lead P70 was the general office for the NY&LB (now long gone). 10/15/2020 9:08:48 PM
