PRR 830, K-4S, 1956         
Bowers. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Nelson Bowers that was taken during a railfan excursion in Bay Head Junction, New Jersey, on 16 June 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #830, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during 1917 and retired in April of 1958. Visible on the right is a portion of PRR engine #5883, an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower.
