Blackhawk. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Homer T. Newton, Jr., that was taken in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, on 10 August 1953. Photo Caption: "Pennsylvania 2-10-4 No. 6448, Blairsville, Pa. 8-10-1953." PRR engine #6448 is a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during November of 1943 and retired in April of 1958 after just 15 years of revenue service. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Steam In Action from Virginia to Ohio" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (880-20).
