CRIP 4-6-2 #866 - Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific         
Built by Alco-Schenectady in 1909, this 4-6-2 was typical of the Pacifics that served the Rock Island during the 1920-30's. Specs - class P-31, 73" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, engine weight of 227,000 lb, tractive effort of 31,907 lb. Around 1917, the CRIP shops superheated the class. Retirements began in 1936 but some in the class lasted until 1953. No date, location or photographer.was listed for the photo
