LV RDC1 #40 - Lehigh Valley
The Budd RDC1 built in August of 1951 was caught as it stopped at the Lehigh Valley station in Hazleton, PA, by photogrpaher C.L. Andrews. After this RDC1 unit served the Lehigh Valley and Reading, it was saved from scrapping and has been preserved in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA. Note on the back of the photo states that the LV station in Hazleton, PA, was razed in October of 1963. No date was listed so an approximate one was used.
