Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at Journal Square Station in Jersey City, New Jersey, on 25 April 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1453, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in September of 1956 after 39 years of faithful service. Many thanks to Mr. Tom Beckett for correctly identifying the location. ("Stoneborobranch"; #23 of 28) |
