Gulf Mobile & Ohio train No. 33 was about to enter the main line of the Southern Railway at the spring switch just south of the station in Slidell, Louisiana. No. 33 had just received train orders from the Southern’s agent-operator and was getting ready to run over the Southern for 28 miles, to OLIVER JUNCTION in New Orleans. (approximate date of photo) |
