Conrail in McConnellsville, NY         
Towards the end of service in Mcville, a local makes some setouts and pickups. I recall mostly sand cars going up the branch, but not today. The train ran 2 days per week from Utica to McConnellsville and back. Pic date is approximate.

Tom Beckett General Nice capture of a service that was probably a loser for years before it was eventually abandoned. There was a lot of that in the early days of Conrail. Amazing how many branchlines still had even minimal traffic into the late 70's. I miss those days... 5/13/2021 4:32:02 AM
