MNNR 54 switches covered hoppers in the Dinkytown Trench under cloudy skies. This track, owned by BNSF, used to serve the U's coal powered heating plant, but now is only used for MN Commercial to store covered hoppers (I believe mostly plastic pellets)in their small yard. This is only the second time I've seen a locomotive down in the trench. |
