PRR 1126, I-1SA, 1956
Wood. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide of a photo by Don Wood that was taken near Weigh Scales, Pennsylvania, in May of 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1126, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built in Juniata as an I-1S during October of 1918, rebuilt as an I-1SA by 1953, and retired in September of 1959. Actually, this is a "Decapod" double-header: #1126 is followed by #4519 ~ built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in August of 1923 and retired in October of 1959.
