| UP 8508 was the lead unit for a westbound freight, stopped at Chamois, MO on 10/17/2021. I took this picture a few minutes before noon, hence the shadows (I was looking NNW at the time; the tracks run due east and west through here). The diesel engine was not running when I took this photo but it was started not too long afterwards. That EMD turbocharger sound is unmistakable! |
