ATSF 2-8-0 #132 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
This little ATSF 2-8-0 #132 has the distinct honor of being the oldest surviving ATSF steam locomotive. Built by Burnham, Wms & Co in September of 1880 (serial #5266), it outlasted others in its class as well as a lot of steam locomotives in general. After several rebuilds (even into an 0-8-0 config and back to 2-8-0) and several numbers, the loco finally landed in the Kansas Historical Museum in Topeka as ATSF #1 with the honorable name, name "Cyrus K. Holliday". Photographer F. Kelley caught the loco while still wearing the 132 number.
