Here is page 17 of an 18-page article entitled "The Pennsylvania Railroad In Altoona: 1849-1949." It was published originally in the "Altoona Centennial Booklet" dated August of 1949, page 30. Photo Caption: "Aerial view of the Altoona Car Shops." At the bottom left is the 7th Street Bridge. Bounded by the railroad tracks, 7th Avenue, and Chestnut Avenue are the Pennsylvania Railroad's Passenger Car Shops. Crossing the entire span of the Shop Yard and the railroad tracks is the 4th Street Footbridge. In the distance is the PRR's Finishing Roundhouse located near the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and 1st Street.
