The opposite end control panel from the previous photo shows the console markings in English, rather than the Portuguese at the opposite end. Note the throttle handle is missing. The conductor moves it to the end he needs according to the direction he wants to head. Hence, the trollwy is never turned around but instead does the "ping pong" action, much like the old Lionel toy trolley with its reversing bumper. |
