This relic will soon disappear
This old intermediate signal will soon disappear. On the other side of this grade crossing, CSX has started to construct a new siding. It was nice to hear the relays inside the metal box behind the signal were clicking loudly!

Joe Hill General They installed the new, temporary intermediate signal here on 2/8/07. One of a very number of non-searchlight signals originally installed on this line. Scheduled to be removed within two weeks. 2/12/2007 8:07:57 PM
Bernie Feltman General Tim, as for the siding, what they actually did here was install storage tracks (#1 & #2) for staging empties and loads for both Junction City Mining and Martin-Marietta. 8/28/2010 8:03:49 PM
Bernie Feltman General Tim, for a look at the south end, look at this photo I posted earlier today -- http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2202675 8/28/2010 8:08:49 PM
Bernie Feltman General Tim, here is a look at the north end of the storage track. You can see track 1 coming off the main and track 2 coming off track 1 -- http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1464145 8/28/2010 8:12:07 PM
