Jason Lockhart, Sr. General This locomotive suffered a LOT of abuse. It was parked in a park in Beaumont, Texas near the Baptist Hospital and basically just forgotton. When I was a young boy in the 1960s, I used to play in the cab of both this engine and her sister #982 (who was originally parked in Hermann Park, Houston, TX). It is my life long fantasy to see both of these old girls under steam and in a double header...sort of like what has been done with NKP 765 and PM 1225 in the past. 12/28/2012 6:36:23 PM
