Sears Lead
Title:  Sears Lead
Description:  Right after the V060 cleared the wye at CP 291, I heard dispatch talking with the crew on a DeWitt yard job. They were talkin' about having to get to the Sears lead, I've heard this before and knew that they were going to 84 Lumber.........why they call it the Sears lead I don't know. So here's the Y111 about to make a hook on an empty box car.

Complete Packaging Solutions
Title:  Complete Packaging Solutions
Description:  If it was'nt for this one and only customer on this particular trackage in Syracuse, then you can bet it would join the long list pf places in the area that used to, but no longer receive rail service. The only thing unfortunate about this moment is that any shots with the power in the foreground would be extremely back-lit; I did stay and watch the whole manuever anyway. And it was pretty interesting to see too because only two of the three cars that were already there were hauled away. On top of that, they sandwiched the one that stayed between the two head-end and the rear car of the new inbound loads. Must be the customer wanted them arranged in a specific order. (BTW....GATX 22307 was delivered on 10/24/2016)

Y111
Title:  Y111
Description:  Since I started working a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, Mondays have been freed up to catch movements that would be unlikely to happen on weekends. After checking the situation at Woodard I decided to move on to Syracuse in hopes of catching this train. Talk on the radio indicated that they were looking for track east of CP285 which means only one thing: they're going to 84 Lumber. They left the yard with a loaded lumber car, a box car, and three tanks. In this frame we see that they cut away from the three tanks and are headed straight for Bridge Street with the loads for 84 Lumber.

The ball park
Title:  The ball park
Description:  CSX train Y111-07 is shoving back to the main after switching Complete Packaging Solutions. They would have to wait for an hour or so for the mainline to clear before shoving two miles west of here to pick-up 20+ cars on the pocket track at CP 293. The stadium seen here is home to the Syracuse Chiefs baseball team.
