They are about to enter one of the westbound tunnels at Gallitzin with a 125-car merchandise freight train. Visible in the foreground is the New Portage Secondary Track leading to Hollidaysburg, just before it merges into the mainline.

They are pulling a westbound TrucTrain that will not stop in Altoona for crew changes. Visible in the foreground is the East Branch of the Juniata River which winds its way through Tyrone and Spruce Creek on its way to merging with the Juniata's West Branch near Huntingdon.
