Moline) reads "The Long Island Rail Raod will take on a new look when the first of 270 electric, air-conditioned cars like these will be delivered during the Fall of 1968. Propulsion and automatic speed regulation systems supplied by General Electric will play a major role in maintaining a high level of passenger comfort and efficiency on the high-speed commuter cars. The addition of these sleek, stainless-steel, 100-mph cars to the nation's most heavily traveled commuter line will mark a new level of service for Long Island commuters, according to officials of the Metropolitan Commuter Trasnportation Authority of New York, operators of the Long Island Rail Road.
