Extra Board. Here is the first of two photos by the Brady Stewart Studios that were taken near Corliss, Pennsylvania, on 3 July 1964. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9859, an EFP-15 built by GM-EMD in July of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower; it was rebuilt in 1965 and survived into the Penn Central era as number "4359." (See next photo for helpful comments by Messrs. John Schumann, Warren Evans, and Brad Knapp.) |
