| The three railroads that came east-west through Abilene are right on top of each other. Union Pacific is the northernmost, then Santa Fe, finally Rock Island. All are still used, though what is left of the Rock Island is merely a tourist line now. Of course, the remains of the Rock Island are the only one which you can board a train at a station from! |
