NKP 4-6-4 175 - "Nickel Plate Road"         
This beautiful 4-6-4 Hudson type steam locomotive was built by Lima in November of 1929. To help the crews battle smoke, deflectors (nicknamed "elephant ears") were installed in January of 1946. Eventually the loco was sold to Louisiana Eastern on 12/4/1959. Specs - serial #7400, class L-1b, 73" drivers, 215 psi boiler pressure, 25x26" cylinders, approximate engine weight of 316,500 lb, tractive effort of 42,681 lb. C. T. Felstead photo
