All 2-10-0's in ore train service were based at Northumberland enginehouse." Partially visible here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4315 and #4393. Both are I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapods" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #4315 was constructed as an I-1S during December of 1922, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in July of 1941, and retired in October of 1959. #4393 was built as an I-1S during February of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in April of 1942, and retired in August of 1959. Both are I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapods" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #4315 was constructed as an I-1S during December of 1922, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in July of 1941, and retired in October of 1959. #4258 was built as an I-1S during July of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in September of 1942, and retired in September of 1959. Note the Fireman along side the locomotive; he's just uncoupled the second tender from the train so that the locomotives can proceed to the Watering Point.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4315, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during December of 1922, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in July of 1941, and retired in October of 1959 after 37 years of faithful service. It's pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train as it passes FASSETT Tower. Looks like this train has just begun to cross from one track to the other. Also note the round position-light signal. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Steam on the Pennsy's Elmira and Shamokin Branches" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (785-5).
