PRR 4315, I-1SA, 1957
Title:  PRR 4315, I-1SA, 1957
Description:  Decapod #4315. Here is a photo of a Pennsylvania Railroad train taken by Philip R. Hastings on 5 May 1957. Shown here is PRR engine #4315, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1922 and retired in October of 1959. It is pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train as it passes FASSETT Tower in Fassett, Pennsylvania. Looks like this train has just begun to cross from one track to the other. Also note round position-light signal.

It is pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train as it enters Leolyn, Pennsylvania. The train is slowing down so that the fireman can snare the train orders being held in the air by the railroader in the foreground. Also note the semaphore signal.
